First, we want to get to know you well and to diagnose a problem. We ask questions to learn and understand:
• Your nutritional habits: what you do right and what we have to work on
• Your motivations: why you want to lose weight
• Your favourite food and food you don’t like
• Food which causes ailments in your body
• Your daily routines.
We want you to understand yourself better and thus we will ask you to keep an Eating Diary for a few days.
Using specialized equipment - TANITA SC 330S - we will examine your body contents, including your fat tissue, water and muscles.
With this information, we will be able to prepare a LIGHTER LIFE Eating Plan especially for you; it will be adapted to your individual preferences, needs and lifestyle. Along with the plan, we will teach you not only what and how much to eat, what to avoid and why, but also how to eat and why other aspects of your life have a great impact on how much you weigh and how you feel.
Subsequent visits involve further education, motivation and support. The frequency will depend on how many kilograms you plan to lose and how much support you need from Remedio.
Remedio Nutrition Consulting Centre has one of the most modern body composition analyzers - TANITA SC 330 s. For measurements BIA ((Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) is used, an extremely reliable method for body composition analysis. It's fast, consistent, accurate and easy to use.
Thanks to this analyzer you can measure (among others):
• Fat %
• Total Body Water %
• Muscle Mass
• BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate)
• Metabolic Age
• Bone Mass
These data help patients to understand what is going on inside their bodies by categorizing weight into muscle mass, water, and body fat. This knowledge can help patients with weight-related problems make better-informed decisions about their behaviour. It helps them to see the effectiveness of their treatment program - especially relevant if obesity-related medication is part of the program.
It is recommended to measure under the following conditions for stable measurement:
1) Prohibition of alcohol intake for 12 hours before measurement
2) Prohibition of excessive exercise for 12 hours before measurement
3) Prohibition of excessive eating and drinking the day before measurement
4) Prohibition of eating and drinking for 3 hours before measurement
5) Urination just before measurement
6) Avoid measurements during menstruation (for female)
For repeated measurements measure at the same hour as much as possible
